The circular economy at stake

The current model of developed countries based on a so-called linear economy (extract, produce, consume and throw away) no longer allows us to foresee a reasonable future… The circular economy then aims to change this paradigm. Its ultimate objective is to decouple economic growth from the depletion of natural resources by creating innovative products, services, business models and public policies that take into account all the flows throughout the life of the product or service.

This model is based on :
> optimal use of resources
> on the creation of positive loops of value.

It focuses in particular on new modes of design, production and consumption (leasing, sharing, etc.), the prolongation of the useful life of products and the reuse and recycling of components.
